About THE WINDOW SHADE MOVIE

“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”

– Andrei Tarkovsky

In 2012, when author, F.M.Hill wrote, THE WINDOW SHADE, she first wrote it in a spec script with the thought of it being put on the screen in the future.  The book followed second and the attempt to do a trailer.  The project was put on the back burner until later when industry giant, Rhonda Baraka read her spec script.

When later approached about taking her project to the screen in a short film, Hill did not hesitate and is now in the producing stages for the summer of 2016, on location in her home town, Tuskegee, Alabama.

The Window Shade will be entered into various film festivals after filming, where it is her crews goals to garner attention to the sound content of the short film version.
